Founder & Creative Director
Kari Chaudhry is an award-winning designer and entrepreneur based in London and New York. In 2012, Kari launched and remains CEO of her eponymous brand, Kari C. as well as The Collective by Kari C., a multi-disciplinary full service online brand platform. With a specialty in luxury brand sectors, including but not limited to, lifestyle, retail, fashion and design , Kari’s clientele varies from large corporations to start-ups to trendsetters & celebrities & royalty.
Before becoming an entrepreneur, Kari worked for leading brands such as Alexander McQueen and Harrods. Following a decision to pursue her true passion in brand development and design, Kari completed studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology NYC and London College of Fashion and its prestigious Cordwainers’ College. Prior to her formal fashion education, Kari worked for large investment banks in Toronto and New York.
Kari is passionately committed to supporting women’s entrepreneurship and empowerment and is a member of the Women’s Development Board of the MicroLoan Foundation where she successfully launched the Soleful Steps fundraising campaign to help women in Africa. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.
In 2016, Kari won the prestigious International Recognition and Achievement Awards as Best Female Fashion Designer. She has also been a finalist for Business Woman of the Year by the The Asian Business Awards, sponsored by Lloyds Banking Group (2015), shortlisted for the Young Achiever Award at the Asian Women of Achievement Awards (2014) and was a finalist for Best Shoe Brand, at the Footwear Friends Awards. In 2013, Kari was one of the select few chosen globally to showcase her designs at a prestigious exhibition International Museum of Shoes in Milan.
